About Brisbane

This warm, walkable city enjoys around 300 sunshine-filled days a year. Brisbane boasts an international airport, a range of cultural and entertainment venues – including the Queensland Museum, Gallery of Modern Art and the Queensland Performing Arts Centre – as well as Australia’s only inner-city swimming beach and lagoons at South Bank.

The beautiful South Bank Parklands is just a hop, skip or jump across the river from Brisbane’s CBD. Here you’ll find 17 hectares of riverfront parkland, including various green spaces and rainforest pockets. With riverside walkways and cycle paths galore, you can easily explore South Bank’s wide range of sidewalk cafes, restaurants and bars.

With a multitude of dining and accommodation options in the area, there’s something to suit all tastes and budgets.

Extend your stay and visit the region’s attractions – visit Australia Zoo or designer markets, kayak through the city reach of the Brisbane River, head out to see world heritage listed rainforest, sand islands and beaches in the Morton Bay marine park, or visit boutique wineries – all easily accessible within an hour of the city. Or why not venture further afield for snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef, soak up some rays on the world-famous Gold Coast, or venture into the vast, red Australian Outback.
